The Information Security Group (ISG) is one of the largest academic security groups in the world. It brings together in a single institution expertise in education, research and practice in the field of information security. The ISG offers an active research environment. It has a thriving PhD community, and offers world-leading masters degree programmes (campus-based and online), as well as postgraduate diploma programmes in information security. The ISG also includes the Smart Card Centre of Excellence which it founded with Vodafone and Giesecke & Devrient. It is also active in socio-technical aspects of information security, including organisational implementation and visualisation. In the TREsPASS project, Royal Holloway, University of London led the visualisation work package. The PI is Dr Lizzie Coles-Kemp, senior lecturer in the Information Security Group (ISG), Royal Holloway. Lizzie brings information security management research expertise to the ISG which is historically strong in mathematical and computer science aspects of information security research. The ISG is particularly well-known for its links with industry and its track record in applied information security research.
